Village Women / Orphaned Child Program
In this program village women are identified interviewed and family needs assessed. Participating women to attend an orientation and child(ren) match meeting. Women attend a monthly support meeting and child development workshops. The women will receive a monthly allotment for their care of each child/family placed in their care. Children placed with these women will have a system for reporting needs, concerns and/or abuses.
This program is managed by our Kenya partner, Koinonia: A Street Children’s Program under the direct supervision of George Ngesa. The Koinonia Director manages monthly meetings, disperse funds and maintain accounting for expenditures. The Nafasi Board plans periodic audits to ensure good steward practices are maintained.

These schools need:
- Classroom furniture i.e. child desks, chairs, teacher desks and chairs, chalkboards, tables
- Toilets & Bath Facilities
- Drinking water
- Learning materials and other classroom teaching aids
- Books
- Teachers (short-term & long-term)
- Tutors (short-term & long-term)
- New Buildings
Individuals, youth groups, civic groups, churches, school groups and college students will be solicited to adopt a school to provide the resources needed.
Housing for Street Children
This program aims to engage builders who are willing to construct housing for street children in Eldoret, Kenya. We aim to partner with various agencies that have the resources to build, update and coordinate management assistance for this program. This work will get done through engagement of corporations and agencies which expertise in the construction, homeless care, housing, and human services arenas. Help will also be sought to provide house management services that will connect street youth with education, skills training and assistance with development a skill or talent to help them become self supporting.
The goal is to recruit volunteers and supporters from various communities i.e. the corporate environment, the religious community, schools, colleges, governmental, and other entities that may be willing to help. We will seek help in raising funds to build and to provide home furnishings. Individuals, groups, businesses and religious groups can support these children by contributing monthly to help street youth pay for rent, utilities, water and food.
Individuals, youth groups, civic groups, churches, school groups and college students are encouraged to support these children in any or all of these ways. They desperately need all the help they can get.
