Auction Procedures

Bidding

  • In order to bid in this auction, you must first register and receive a bidding number. Your bidding number will be sent to you upon submission of your registration form. All registration information and bids are confidential. Bidding by number rather than by name insures additional confidentiality. Register now!
  • Bidders must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You may only bid by using the form on our web site. Bidding will be in United States dollars only.
  • Bids must be increased by a minimum of five dollars.
  • There will an additional fee for shipping and insurance. The successful bidder will be notified of this in advance.
  • Once a bid has been submitted, it cannot be retracted.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if there are two or more equal bids?

If there are two bids for the same amount, the bid with the earliest time and date will be accepted over the later bid. You will know if yours is currently the high bid because your bidding number will be the one that is displayed.

Notification of Winners

Within three days of the close of the auction, both the winner and the donor will be notified by Auction chair. The donor will not ship the item to the winner until notified by organization treasurer that payment has been received for the item.

Payment

Payment may be made to NAFASI via US dollar check, VISA/MC by emailing or faxing your credit card information. Payment for any shipping costs will be included in the final statement.

Shipping

The item will be shipped to the winner within 10 days of receipt of notification of payment by treasurer. Appropriate insurance will be secured on the item being shipped to protect the recipient.
